
They all grew up on the family farm south of Arapahoe where he enjoyed the busy farm life and was active in his church, American Legion Post #96, 4-H leader of the Busy Bees Club, and Boy Scout leader. They were blessed with four children: Marla Ann, Robin Kim, Sue Ellen, & Timothy Dean. In 1958, he was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe.
